Play is a worthwhile activity in its own right, not just a unproductive pastime. The same goes for well designed computer and console games - but it is not easy to sort out the wheat from the chaff. Now BuPP (the Federal Office for the Positive Assessment of Computer and Console Games) is working to change all that. A service agency of the Ministry of Economy, Family and Youth, BuPP offers parents and other adults responsible for buying games for children guidance by rating titles and hosting a review database on this site. BuPP also draws attention to the positive features of the games featured and provides information on gaming in general.

These services are aimed at helping you to engage with your children's gaming behaviour. Because there's nothing more vital than knowing your children, taking them seriously and playing with them.
